Lichtenberg Game Breeding Centre
The Lichtenburg Game Breeding Centre is a project of the National Zoological Gardens of South Africa whose headquarters are in Pretoria. The main aim of the Centre is to augment the National Zoo’s breeding programmes of endangered species and to supplement the Zoo’s own animal populations.

Johannesburg Zoo
Early in 1904, 200 acres of land was officially accepted by the Town Council of Johannesburg and signed over to the people of Johannesburg as a recreational venue in perpetuity. Nowadays, this area comprises Zoo Lake and the Johannesburg Zoo.
